New Yorker, Laura Winningham is the Founder of City Harvest London, a fresh food distribution charity which has had and continues to have massive impact on hunger and food waste. The charity distributes donated fresh unusable surplus food to food banks, charities, community groups, and more. (A whopping 170,000 meals are rescued and distributed each week).

It's more than just food. It has a huge social aspect to helping choirs to the homeless, after school adventure playgrounds, groups trying to help teens stay out of gangs, secure shelters for trafficked women.

Each day is unknown. Food donations arrive and turned around to be delivered the same day to organisations (including food banks, homeless shelters, childrens programmes, refuges for women suffering from domestic abuse) who are in vital need, even more so since COVID19. A logistical nightmare for many of us. Agility required massive.

Laura is dynamic.  Her energy and devotion incredible.  Join us on this episode chatting about the hows, the whys, discover more about Laura and hear what she does for her well- being.
