In this episode we are off exploring cannabis - not the psychoactive part but the non-psychoactive part of cannabis, CBD, often referred to as the ‘wellness weed’.

CBD is the new buzz word in the health and wellbeing arena and investors are queuing up to put their cash into the cannabis pot (excuse the pun).  Globally the market is forecast to grow to £50bn in the next 5 years with three companies having recently floated on the London Stock Exchange –MG Pharma, Kanabo and Cellular Goods.

David Kirby is the co-founder and CEO of the medicinal cannabis company, Avida Global. Avida Global is the first British producer of cannabis oil and isolates whose dedicated growing facility is in the North East of Colombia, near the Venezuelan border.  Having raised in excess of £6m over the last couple of years, and with an impressive board of Directors including Lord Mancroft, Former Chairman of the Drug & Alcohol Foundation, Nick Davis, Founder of Memery Crystal, and Dr Inbar Maymon-Pomeranchick, one of the leading experts on medicinal cannabis, their company is on a mission to bring top quality CBD oil to businesses worldwide.
